Yes, it is still going on just as planned. Everyone who plans to attend, please send a personal message to Habibidancer for her address. That way she can ensure her privacy on the forum.

Hey, guys. I had an idea. Since it's so close to Halloween, how about we all dress up? It can either be in a costume or anything "witchy" you may have. I think it would make our potluck a little more entertaining.

My son will be happy to wear a costume (since he does at least 3 costume changes a day). I may just throw on a witch hat! lol... I have to work that day so I may not have time for a full on costume but I can at least pull out my hat. I'm sending out my address to those who have said they are going to try to make it. Let me know if you don't get it and want it and I can send it to you. Michele

Lorifiya, even if some people have to go by 8, you can still come. my kid is a late to bed kid because I let him stay up till daddy gets up for work, then we sleep in late. So I wouldn't be kicking people out for another hour and a half anyway. For anyone interested, I have a corkscrew willow that we've been trying to cut down for years. it just keeps coming back. (it's too close to the house for the safety of the house) So, if anyone would like a corkscrew willow wand you may cut one. This willow has been told multiple times that she can't grow there, and she has offspring spread across Iowa (friends and family have grown cuttings from her in their yards). Which reminds me, if you want you can also take a cutting and root it in a pot to plant in the spring. Keep it well watered. Bring a jar if you want to root a twig or two, and we'll stick the branches in the jar with some water for you to take home. When it starts too root out, plant it in some dirt and keep it well watered. Willows do exceptionally well in wet areas of your yard and will help use up that water if you get puddles in your yard during heavy rains. They grow FAST. Like I've said, we've been trying to cut this tree down... I've cut it down twice, both times it was taller than the house! It grows back in just a couple years! Of course, starting from one twig will take a little longer to get that tall, but they still grow pretty fast. I'll have some other swag for ya'll to take home.

Just saying a quick hello! I should be there tonight and I look forward to meeting you all...again for some of you. I will not be dressing up though. This weekend has been so crazy, I haven't had time to find something to wear. If I get a chance, I'll look for a witchy hat. See you soon.

I will see all of you that can make it! I will get home from work at 5:30 so arrive at 6 so I have a chance to get in the house. it's a casual night! I didn't get a chance to clean the kitchen much so we'll eat in the living room which is more comfy anyway. if you take a chill easily, dress in layers. I'll turn the heat up a few degrees if necessary but we don't have rugs or carpets so the floor can be chilly for those who have cold toes.
