I just wanted to tell everyone Hello! or rather Merry Meet!
My name is Leah, I have been a curious Wiccan for several years but am still gathering information and learning. I was raised Christian but through the years do not understand any of it. I am a mother of 2 amazing kids and a step mother to a third. I am also pregnant due this October. My husband is Wiccan learned must through his Native American Grandfather.
I use to read tarot cards but currently need to find a nice website or shop to buy new ones. I also have premonitions or something similar to them. I will be the first to say that since being with my husband neither of us experience the things we use to. My premonitions mostly went away or I may just not be aware of them anymore.
My hopes being with this group, is to learn more about Wicca/Pagan religions, practices, and how to use this knowledge in my everyday life.
Blessed Be Everyone

Hi, Leah! Thank you for taking the initiative to introduce yourself! Also, congrats on your pregnancy! As for your premonitions, I'm sure that they'll return in time. I've found that with life and stress, premonitions can come and go. That's why it's so important to take time out for yourself when you have a family. I know I've experienced the same thing. Blessed be!

Merry Meet everyone! I am so glad to have some some more Wiccans in the QCA!! So please forgive me, but I'm totally excited! My name is Angie, however, you may call me Lobolita. I have been practicing Witchraft for a little over a year now. Yay!! I started in March of last year, getting my first taste through a meetup.com group. Sadly, that group no longer exists. I later joined a local coven. However, the coven was not as organized and together as I had hoped it would be. Sad, but these things do happen. I started off following the path of the Norse god/goddess. While I still use them in my rituals I am now following the Strega Path, via a mentor who lives in Iowa City. Through Gypsy, I am going to be forming a new coven here in the QCA. So for those of you who might be interested in trying coven life let me know. I would be more then honored to welcome you. Feel free to add me as a friend on Facebook as well. I am looking forward to making new friends and expanding my knowledge and wisdom of the Craft. While I haven't had much opportunity to practice with other people I hope to change all that through this group and through the new coven. Brightest Blessings to all of you!

Hi all, it is nice to meet everyone here. My name is Sarah and I'm fairly new to the Davenport area, my husband, son, and I moved here last year. My husband is from the area though. I have been a Pagan for almost 17 years. I started out as a Wiccan, but within about a year I figured out that it really wasn't for me. After many years of studies and meeting some very knowledgeable people and mentors, I have come to my current path. I'm a eclectic Pagan that is mostly Celtic based and I'm a Green/Kitchen Witch. Although I've lately been drawn to a couple Greek deities. I am normally a solitary person, but have worked with several different groups. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and I am also willing to help anyone who has questions. If I don't know an answer, I know a lot of people who might know. Blessings!

hello My name is Michele. I've considered myself pagan for oh... 22 or so years I guess. Also consider myself wiccan and a witch. These are labels I chose though I've noticed a bunch of pagan blogs/news sites are debating what labels should be used, which is amusing to me. I'm married, have a kid, work part time, plan to homeschool our kid. Was in a local coven for over 16 years but decided to take a break from it for a while. Now I just hang out with some of my pagan and witchy friends and am thinking about my next steps. Not sure how many meetings I'll make it to, most of my work hours fall on weekends. But if I can, I'll come.

Hello, my name is Alyse. I have been a solitary wiccan for around 7 years now, I think. I have never been part of any group and spend most of my time looking up new information.

I have been wondering what's with the "exalt/smite" for people?

Lol it's really nothing. It comes with the proboards. So if you like someone, you can "exalt" them. If you don't like their post, you can "smite" them. I think you can only exalt or smite once a day. I guess it's sort of a popularity contest or something. Kind of like a reward system for posting, I guess.

Hello, I'm Lady Motevia's husband. I guess I'm a little bit complicated since I don't really know exactly what I am. I am interested in the Norse pantheon as well as shamanism and possibly Druidism as well. Generally I tend to believe in sort of a cosmic uncertainty and sort of ascribe to the Socratic quote, "All I know is that I know nothing." Which my wife says makes me sound very Buddhist but I've never really connected with that. I've also always had a deep connection to primal things and animals and that is what draws me to shamanism and druidism.
