So I've wanted a pet rabbit my entire life. It's just one of the things that my narcissistic mother never let me have. My husband doesn't understand because his family practically refused to turn down any animals. So anyway, I found a bunny on Craigslist in need of a home and we went out to Milan last night and adopted it. We still don't know whether it's a boy or girl, but I named it Gigi (it's the name of the black cat off of Kiki's Delivery Service). It's so mellow and adorable I think I may have found my new familiar (my cat has now abandoned me for my husband. *sigh*). Anyone who's coming to the meeting on Sunday will be welcome to see it. You'll just die from cuteness!

Also, a little bit about how this bunny is a "rescue":
From what we know, this bunny is the last remaining one of a litter of 5. None of the others made it. I think it's from a breeder because it has a breeding tattoo on its left ear that is reserved for show rabbits. 2 of its siblings died brutally from a dog and I have no idea what happened to the others. She just said "they didn't make it". The lady I got the rabbit from adopted it about 2 weeks ago in a tiny little apartment with a full-grown bull terrier that seemed to like to "play" with it. When we first saw it last night, I could tell that it was beyond terrified. The lady just wanted to find a home for it

Lol yea I love it. The character is actually Jiji, but I like it spelled Gigi for some reason. lol I absolutely love that movie. And this bunny for some reason just looks like a "Gigi" to me.

bunnies can actually be pretty great pets. can't wait to see it! I have to bring my son with me, but he follows instructions well when it comes to animals so he won't hurt it.

That's fine, Habibidancer. We haven't even taken it out of the cage yet, but it LOVES to have its ears pet. I'm rather proud that so far my cat pretty much ignores it. I know our original topic was going to be on herbs, but I feel instead like talking about crystals. I hope that's alright with everybody. I can't wait to see you all on Sunday!
