As of right now, we don't seem to have enough people able to make it to meetings. So until further notice, all meetings are canceled. I don't like to do this, but it's so much work to put these meetings together for only 1-2 people to show up. I'm sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause for those looking for a study group.

I too am sorry that you must canceled the meeting maybe later you can try to get meeting going againI would hate to see the group fold up! :-(

Me, too, Glen. It's a shame because I know that some of us enjoy the meetings. But if we can't get enough people interested, I can't keep putting forth my energy and time for something people don't seem to be into. I'm hoping we can get them started up again because I really do enjoy them. I just don't like having 1-2 people show up for something that I put a month of hard work into.

I wish I could have come to more meetings but had to put my job first since it's a weekend job.

I know setting up a meeting, topics of discussion, and a place takes a lot of work. Also weekends are hard for some people to get together, especially with the up coming holidays. November and December are ridiculously busy for me. I do thank you all for all the work you have done to hold these meetings.
I am wondering though if anyone would be interested in meeting at a coffee shop or something like it on a weekday evening. Just for an hour or two to discuss whatever topics we want and chitchat. It wouldn't be perfect but it could be a way to keep in contact with like minded people.
So what are your thoughts?

Windstrm I would be interested. this new job I have now doesn't schedule out in advance like I was used to so now I only know a week ahead of time if I'm working, and I work mostly nights and weekends. sigh... but who knows, that might all change, hopefully.

The issue with me is that I have no transportation. The only days I do have a car are on Mondays and Sundays now that my husband is starting his new job. So if we were to meet somewhere, I wouldn't be able to come. That's one reason for meetings being at my home. If there's ever a time where my husband has to go to work on a day we have a meeting, there wouldn't be an issue with me getting somewhere.

Amber with the holidays coming up letes wait till next year be for we do any more meeting at your house and if any one just want to get together for coffee or for a couple to take or just to meet I feel that would be fine with me how about you Amber.
