I also crochet and recently learned to knit. If you do crochet a robe, try looking for a stitch pattern that is lighter weight, otherwise your robe will weigh a lot! Now that you've got my mind thinking about it, if I were to crochet ritual garb, it would probably be an outer layer in a lacy pattern to wear over a skirt/tank top.... maybe.

Are any of you on Ravelry? (a social site for crochet/knitters that links up to patterns) I found an AWESOME cape/cloak pattern there that I want to do someday. my name on Ravelry is dancingarden so if you are there you can friend me there and then look through my favorites to find it.

That looks amazing! I'm definitely gonna make one of those. I have a whole ton of tan yarn that I wanted to make into a shirt but just didn't like how it was turning out. I'm definitely going to start making this instead.

I really want to make one too. I want a red one! but I'm afraid if I make one someone will poke fun and call me Red Riding Hood. hahaha! I still want to make one though.

Lol the same thing went through my mind when I saw it! Also, now that I've thought about it a bit, I'd rather make a long one instead.

Yeah, I thought about starting out making it and then keep adding to the end and stop just before it got too heavy to wear. I especially don't want it to drag. and maybe I'll use a really dark red. lol

Yea, I thought that too. I might just try to create my own pattern and see how it goes.

The part I like best about the whole pattern is the ruffly edging. I'm not a super girly girl but sometimes I like that little extra feminine touch.

I am looking for some one to make me a hooded cloak if I buy the material what would it cost me to have it made I need a 3x large cloak and how much material would need to buy.

I'm trying to teach myself to sew. Haha. From lessons my grandma taught me when I was about 8. I might be able to sew you a pocket someday! That's all she taught me... Lol!
