I know whatcha mean. I've found so many herbalism schools that look cool, but I want to actually practice herbalism as a profession and open my own herb, magick, and holistic practice shop. I wish we would have moved out here sooner so that I could start my herb garden, but I think it may be a little too late now.  I have my own private room now to practice Reiki and place my alter, so that's probably going to be my herb room as well. I know aromatherapy already and I would love to make my own oils to sell around here to the local massage therapists, but I need training to know exactly how to cut the herbs and when. I discovered that Kaplan has a couple of herb-related classes and I'm going to be taking one this coming term. I'm really excited about it because we're actually going to be learning some recipes and stuff to use for ourselves. |

I used to be friends with a woman, Becky Mohr, that was great with herbs, but I havn't talked to her in years. She made teas, she could have done oils but she bought the oils then mixed them to make what she wanted.

That's cool. I've read a couple of herb books that have explained a bit of how to create aromatherapy oils using vegetable oil. From what I remember, you boil the vegetable oil so that it gets hot and then pour it into your flask and drop in your scented herbs. Then put in the cork and let it sit for a couple of weeks. I guess the heat pulls the oils out of the herbs over a period of time. It mentioned doing this with herbs like lavender and lilac. I know that there are other methods, as well.

lorifiya, is that Becky here in the QC? her man is Doug? if so, I know them too. Shoot, if it's the same Becky, I've known her since she hooked up with Doug, as I've known Doug a few years before they met. Actually, Doug and I went to the same Wicca 101 class in 1991.  |

yeah, doug sample, they used to live out west I think they said. I never knew doug took a wicca 101 one class.

small world then! lol... yeah so maybe blame me for Doug taking Wicca 101. We hung out a lot, and got to talking about wicca and such and when I found a flyer for a wicca 101 class at the old Ra Enterprises store (back when it still existed and was down at the Village of East Dav), I made him sign up with me! lol he wanted to go too but I didn't have a car so if I wanted to go I needed to ride with him.  I actually joined the coven that put on that class a few years later, and then taught many of the wicca 101 classes later, with them. |

kool, I knew they were both wiccan just not the history of it. Their both great people I met them though my moms ex, we all became friends, then I later worked for them helping them around the house I even plant a herb garden for becky. but then I wasn't able to go over as often as they needed, I then just kinda dissappeared on them.

They got a new house last year (it's gorgeous). I'm not sure what they call themselves but they probably call themselves pagan for sure. I was just out to their house last month.

They are doing great, they have a 3rd living with them now, they handfasted with her in a polyamorous relationship last month. They are north of Central Park and west of Fairmount now. can't remember the street name just remember how to get there. If you want to say hi to them again I bet they'd love to hear from you. I can pm you their email or bring it tomorrow

Hey, I think I know who you guys are talking about now! Doug and Becky actually came to one of our meetings at the library and joined our Yahoo group, but we haven't heard from them since. At the meeting they attended, they were talking about their fiance'. They were really nice people. I enjoyed meeting them. If either of you talk to them, please let them know where the group is now so they can join us again.
