An imp is a small mischievous demon related to the familiar, they assist in sorcery and may appear in the shape of a spider, fly, toad, cat, or other creature.
Imps are usually found in the company of older women or witches, it is said that these women receive imps from Satan after making some agreement with him.
In return for performing services, the imp is allowed to suckle something from his owner's body either milk, blood, or energy. The spots where the imp feeds are called witchmarks or the devil's mark. The spots are raw and insensitive to pain.
