Ok, so I decided I may have been a little hasty with my previous decision of the "no coven" thing I posted before. I think it would be everyone's interest to leave it to a majority vote. I would like each of you to choose 1 or 2 options. Whichever has the most votes will determine where this group is headed. I know we have some people who are looking for something a little more than a study group. No matter what we do, we will have workshops in the future. But it seems that some people are looking for something more than a study group. If we go with option 2, the coven (for the most part) will be on the side and only connected to the study group via the workshops and any classes. So I would like you all to cast your vote ASAP. So far it looks like we have more people interested in remaining solitary practitioners, which is just fine. I just wanted to give people the option of having somewhere to do group rituals. If not enough people want to, we'll just keep it a study group and do workshops every now and then. But I would like to remind everyone that if we do choose a coven, it will not be Wiccan. It would be eclectic so that pieces of every practice can be included.

To the voteing member of our group I am surprise that only 4 member out of 12 member voted
so far on this distinct matter of your choice to have a study group or a coven I would like to see all member vote by AUG. 16 Please. :-D

I voted study group only mainly because I come to the internet for networking, not to form a coven, if that makes any sense.
If I join or form a coven, it would be in-person only and at this point (as I mentioned at the only meeting I have been to so far) since I just came out of a coven I am even more particular about choosing or forming a coven than I was before. which may have me be solitary for a while since I'm so picky LOL.
anyway. I can't imagine why anyone on this group couldn't start a coven if they wanted regardless of what the vote is. if you are of like mind, get together and do stuff!

It looks like we'll be staying a study group. Like Habibidancer pointed out, many people have either left covens in the past or are very particular about what they want out of a coven. That being said, there is no reason why we can't just have open rituals from time to time. As this group expands, we're going to see many people of different paths who don't quite practice the way that others do. I personally feel that I have finally found my path in Pecti Witta upon looking into my Scottish heritage and the foundation of this path that I've discovered is based around solitary work.

Hey, guys. It doesn't look like we'll be having a meeting this month. We just celebrated my daughter's birthday and I just started school, so I'm a little behind on things. I'm hoping to get September's meeting set up soon. I would appreciate it if everyone could message me with topic ideas. Thanks!
