On an Australian pagan site called Shadows of Oz they had an article called fluff bunnys and give a description of them as well and I have decided to share it. Just follow the link to read the article and feel free to search the rest of the site, it's a pretty good site. www.shadowsofoz.net/bunnies.html

Thanks for sharing, this was really interesting.
I am none of the above on the list, but I'm definitely a newbie. I do love Silver Ravenwolf as an author, but I won't swear by her; as I said in the "greetings" thread, I hate to pretend to know something when I haven't read enough or practiced enough to comprehend it. That being said, I think anyone who treats a so-called "fluffy bunny" badly instead of trying to show them what Wicca really is, can't call themselves a Wiccan in the first place. We are supposed to help others, are we not? I suppose there are practitioners like this in every religion (coming from a Christian/Catholic background, I definitely know there are people who are hypocrites to their religion), but it seems especially disappointing to find it in Paganism, since this seems to be the very thing that true Pagans are attempting to escape and correct.

I agree, Pandora. Personally, I don't like Ravenwolf's work, but that's just me. There are some authors I like and some I don't. There's another one I read that I didn't like, though I can't think of her name right now. She once did a weird show that I never watched. Anyway... I have to agree with what Lorifiya posted. Everyone has to start somewhere. When I first started in Wicca (which, I'm no longer a "Wiccan" but that's beside the point), the person who introduced me to it was a "fluffy bunny". She was into it to be cool and different than everybody else in high school and based her "practice" solely around Charmed. She had no books, very little information on deities, and preached nothing about nature or the Wiccan Rede. It was all "don't mess with me or I'll hex you" type bull****. Looking back, I just find it absolutely hilarious. Now she doesn't even practice anything at all related to Paganism. But oh well.
I know I'm guilty of belittling fluffy bunnies on message boards and chat rooms, but that was only because these people had been given opportunities to learn and still were spouting the same nonsense. Myself, along with other people, were trying to teach them about the truths of Wicca and they were still acting like they knew everything after practicing only a month. There are some people you just can't help. But when they come in and bash everyone in the Pagan community, I admit that I will bash them back. I've taught "fluffy bunnies" before about real Paganism and have actually had successes with people coming to me for help. It's what I love to do. There's nothing wrong with being a newb. But don't go around acting like an ass like you're better than everyone your senior in the Craft. No one will want to teach you after that. Just MHO.
