I don't know if any of you have ever heard this term before, but it's something I've come across when researching Otherkin and wanted to know everyone's thoughts. otherkin.wikia.com/wiki/God-kinDo you think God-kin exist? Have you ever met one? Do you think you could possibly BE one?

No one has any opinion on this? Personally, I think it's possible. Some pagans I've spoken to have talked about reaching "Godhood". This goes with the belief that the Gods and Goddesses we worship are/were actual living people who reached a sort of enlightenment and "ascended" to become representations of the God and Goddess. Neopaganism teaches us that we are all mortal representations of Them anyway, so I don't see this as being all that improbable. If this is the case, I can see how deities would either reincarnate on Earth or send out fractions of themselves to combine with the souls of certain priests or priestesses that they choose. Have I lost anyone yet? lol Now that I've put in my 2 cents, does anyone have an opinion on Godkin?

I only skimmed the article (the kid's bed time approaches so I only have a minute). I think this "god-kin" term could better be described as an avatar, I would think. Jesus would best be described as an avatar... a part of deity born into a human body. can't really kill an avatar. they can leave the body behind at death and find a new one or if the new testament is to be believed literally, the deity can perform a miracle and raise the body up again. I think anything is possible. Am I god-kin. no more than anyone else I know. Do I know anyone who is god-kin for certain? not that I'm aware of.
